Workshop Highlights
TWO INSTRUCTORS: Bryan Peterson, AKA “Mr. Understanding Exposure” and Mike Shaw!!!
Join renowned photographer & author Bryan Peterson and Mike Shaw in this unique, four-day and four-night workshop in incredible Death Valley National Park. Timed to take place during the days of the new moon, you can be sure of the darkest skies possible in one of the best places on earth for both day & night photography. With only moderate temperatures expected in March, experience and photograph the surreal desert landscapes by day and Death Valley’s glittering starry skies by night. We will visit the incredible sand dunes of Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, the sweeping badlands vistas from Zabriskie Point, the stunning salt crystals of Badwater Basin, surreal colors of Artist’s Palette and much more. Night subjects will include the early season Milky Way, star trails, waxing crescent moon, constellations, Jupiter, Venus and the International Space Station.
I have been fortunate enough to have co-taught workshops with Bryan since 2016. His knowledge of photography, endless creative genius, and sheer charisma are no match. Bryan is THE originator of the Photographic Exposure Triangle, and it shows.
